Early morning words of a song
I awoke after a splendid nights sleep with the words of a song echoing in my mind. “The King is coming, the King is coming” I can hear the tune but cannot recall anymore words. But it seems to me that God is saying something again. Jesus is coming back again, bodily and physically to take us to be with Him in heaven. When this will happen even Jesus does not know except His Father who has set the time. There is a buzz, as it were, in Christian circles and I can’t help but feel that it is not long now before Jesus comes again.
This poses a very important question, how do I tell the world around me without sounding like a cranky old man who has lost it. I suppose those people who heard Noah speaking of the impending flood disaster for so long thought that of him and it was only when Noah was sealed by God in the Ark and the rain started that the people left outside began to realise dear old Noah wasn’t so daft after all.
The world will be a very unpleasant place to be when the Church is no longer in place. A bold statement but it is only when something or somebody is remove from our world that we realise, all too late, what a powerful influence for good they were. Yes I know many things are often best forgotten but there are many very positive and good things we have removed from our world to our detriment. The Nation of Israel in its day and now the church have, despite great imperfections, powerfully impacted this world. Israel to this day has brought great benefit to us in the many advances in the sciences and in particular medical science. Take a look at a list of “blessings” that have come from the hands of Jewish scientists to state but one area of advance. So many hate the Jewish nation and yet they are very pleased to accept the many benefits Jewish men and women have brought to us with open hand.
That so many of our generation have rejected the Christian message and have little regard for the church does not nullify the influence of the church either. God is still very much in control of our world. Without God holding together the whole universe it would disintegrate into absolute chaotic nothingness.
I am so thankful that I can make such seemingly outrageous statements concerning God. I am so thankful that I feel absolutely secure in God, that no matter what comes by the hand of men into my life, our nation’s life and the world’s, nothing can separate me from Him. Even though my fellow man kills me for my faith and trust in God they can never separate me from His love.
